PURVEYORS OF FINE SCOTTISH SALMON

In 1985 Johnathan Brown, the founder and CEO of Grants Smokehouse began smoking salmon in a small fishing town on the borders of Scotland. Nearly 30 years on all of his passion, time honoured experience and attention to detail goes into each side of Grants Rope Hung Smoked Sallmon.
Sourcing the finest Scottish Salmon from the deep, cold waters, that surround the Shetlands Isles and adhering to traditional methods, their skilled craftsmen take great pride and the utmost care in creating small batches of this fine artisan delicacy.
Each salmon fillet is hand cured in salt, gently smoked for 36 hours, then naturally air dried and conditioned to perfection.  100% natural in everyway and containing no preservatives or artificial ingredients.
The result is a beautifull, rich and smoky salmon, a product that we would regard as the finest smoked salmon available anywhere in the world.

PRODUCT SOURCING

The raw material used in Grants smoked salmon is of Scottish origin farmed from the Shetland Isles in Lerwick. Grants Smokehouse only source salmon from accredited companies with sound animal welfare practices. All suppliers are subject to annual audits to ensure the highest standards and quality are maintained. As we focus hugely on keeping our product consistent a high quality raw material is essential. The salmon we use is farmed Scottish salmon.  We believe farmed salmon to be the best option, as we have full traceability and know the fish has been caught humanely in a controlled environment and on a controlled diet throughout its lifespan .
